Stoke Row to Blewbury

A glorious day, in a miserable week of wet & stormy weather. We set off on a different route today, taking in some villages just north of the Berkshire Downs, near Streatley

Here is our route.  However, I forgot to turn off the Garmin, so the last 16 miles are the journey home in the van. We did manage 31 miles and 525 metres of ascent.

Wallingford. The Church tower has a unique style.

Wallingford - The Cholsey & Wallingford Railway. Not open until Easter, but there were staff around doing essential maintenance work and also making sure that intruding cyclists were escorted off the premises.

Tree, puddle & reflection east of Wallingford.

Some interesting leading lines and good mono subject.

Church at South Moreton.I was so intent on getting the starburst effect on the Church that I missed the potential in the rustic buildings to the right. Need to return to explore this in more detail another day.

Tea stop at Blewbury, with tasty Victoria Sponge.

Blewbury Church, with Snowdrops.

Shadows on the church, with crocus at the bottom of the picture.

The crocus from a different angle.

Aconites next to the gravestones.

More snowdrops. (in the shade!).

Some lovely old cottages around the graveyard.
