Kintbury to Crofton & Hungerford

We did a 26 mile circuit around West Berkshire, starting at Kintbury and straying into Wiltshire. At one point the signs were suggesting we were only 12 miles from Andover, which I found hard to believe.

The Crown & Garter at Inkpen. Time for Tea and cake and only 2.5 miles into our ride!

JB3 - On their bikes

An elite group of JB's cyclists took to the roads and canals around Kintbury, visiting The Red House at Marsh Benham (a pint of "Old Boy Ale" & lunch) and then to Hungerford for an (enormous) ice cream.

No King of the Mountains jersey for Ansel on the category 1 Cote de Irish Hill.

I think DD is feeling a little intimidated.

Bit of a rumble in the jungle.

A bit like the old boys you might to see any Greek village.

Setting up for a team photo - note the way I've arranged for a signpost to appear on the top of Ansel's head.

The theme was glum, but someone didn't get it.

And now pensive...........

A passing walker took this and managed a better composition I'd say.

Back at Kintbury. Every narrowboat had a least 1 wheelbarrow, which had many uses, including shopping, storage and in this case a BBQ.
