Sunday ride from Wargrave to Hambleden, via Rotton Row

The weather this week looks pretty grotty so Anne & I made an impromptu decision to go off cycling this morning. It's supposed to get brighter late morning, so should be pleasant....

After parking at Wargrave we made our way up to Crazies Hill and spotted this little scene.

Down at the Thames near Hambleden and a nice glow, with some helpful foreground interest

Enjoying posing

In no hurry to go through the lock

Still in no hurry.....

I've taken this scene a few times, but it's still difficult to resist, even in flatish light.

The going gets a lot tougher on the single track road up to Rotton Row. Lovely light through the arching Beech trees.

The church at Hambleden.

The village store & Post Office.

A "nice cup of tea". Did I mention the lemon drizzle cake?

Cottage garden in Hambleden.

Old bridge, looking back to the village

Back over the Thames and back to the Van - 16 miles.
